Treat yourself to a day of escapism in the heart of the High Atlas Mountains, and discover breathtaking landscapes and age-old traditions.

Departure at 9:00 am from your hotel in Marrakech. After leaving the city, you'll drive through Tahnaout, where your first stop will be a visit to a women's argan oil cooperative. Discover the ancestral methods used to extract this precious oil, which is used both in cooking and in traditional beauty treatments.

Continue your journey through breathtaking scenery, passing through the historic village of Igodar, 35 km from Marrakech. You'll then gain altitude to reach the Tizi n'Tamatert pass, perched at 2,280 meters, from where you'll enjoy exceptional panoramic views over the Imlil and Imenane valleys, dotted with terraced Berber villages.

The adventure continues to Tachedirt, one of Morocco's highest and most isolated villages. Here, you'll embark on an accessible 1-2 hour hike through lush countryside: walnut trees, corn and barley fields line your path. You'll come across herds of sheep and goats, and villagers going about their daily business - an authentic immersion in the Berber way of life.

The hike takes you to the village of Ouanskra, before descending to a small spring nestling under the trees. You'll then return to your vehicle to continue into the nearby valley.

For lunch, you'll be warmly welcomed in a Berber house or in a local restaurant to enjoy a traditional meal prepared with fresh local produce.

After this gourmet interlude, you'll set off on the return journey through mountainous landscapes, arriving in Marrakech in the late afternoon.
